The police have finally found the three women from Ohio after they went missing for almost a decade.
Amanda Berry, Gina DeJesus and Michelle Knight were found in a house in Cleveland [KLEEV-luhnd] after vanishing between 2000 and 2004 in separate occasions.  A former bus driver named Ariel Castro owns the house where the three women were found.
On one evening in May, Charles Ramsey, a neighbor, heard Berry kicking the door of Castro’s house. She was desperately trying to get out of the house, yelling that she has been kidnapped. Ramsey immediately helped Berry and her child from one of her kidnappers to escape by kicking the door. With the help of Ramsey, Berry made a frantic call to 911. The police responded and later rescued DeJesus and Knight.
On the other hand, the Castros, who are all in their 50’s, were arrested for abducting Berry, DeJesus and Knight.
The police took the three women and the child to a hospital for evaluation and medical check-up. The victims were then released the following morning after they appeared to be in good condition.
Although this incident stumped the Cleveland police and the citizens, the most important fact is that the ladies are now free. Many questions remained unanswered, but the families of these women felt satisfied with just seeing the girls alive.  The families and relatives are very thankful that Amanda, Gina, and Michelle survived the years of bad experiences caused by their abduction.
