Renowned martial arts star Jackie Chan has recently revealed his plan to establish his own theme park, which he named after himself, in Beijing, China.
The Jackie Chan World park will be constructed in Yizhuang, a suburb in Beijing. It will include five different areas that will display Chan’s personal collections and artifacts for visitors and fans to see.
Visitors do not need to pay upon entering the theme park. However, certain attractions may require fees, which Chan intends to use to keep the theme park in good condition. Right now, things are not really set in stone as no grand opening date has been announced yet.
The announcement of the theme park came after the superstar told the public that his museum is set to open this year in Shanghai, China’s most populous city. It will be located within the Changfeng Ecological Business District (CEBD) in Putuo district near the Suzhou Creek.
The construction of the museum began in 2008. The said museum will include a gallery of Chan’s movie costumes and other assorted memorabilia collected throughout his career.
Sharing his memorabilia and collections in the park and the museum may show how Jackie Chan has grown as a person. Although he wanted to buy everything when he was young, he now wants to donate whatever he has. He also stressed that the happiness of everyone outweighs the happiness of a single person.
Aside from being occupied with the theme park and the museum, Jackie Chan is also currently busy with his acting career. He also spends his time directing and producing films.
